I don't see how a o2 sensor can cause this problem. It might be possible. But if that went bad the car would never drive normal. My car drives perfect but after 10 mins of driving that's when it does it. So I've done some more research and now I'm almost certain it's the ecu. If not I will move to other areas like fuel filter, thermostat, o2 sensor, etc

i was having similar problems except my car just finally died on me, got the ecu rebuilt and it ran perfect until my motor blew (purely my fault nothing to do with ecu) haha
Are you sure? I hate to lose 200-300$ ..I'm acctually doing research to find a credible company to rebuild the ecu. I prefer dealing with a company who has a reputation with sc400 and Lexus computers.

What's there procedures and warranty like?

your hilarious man the maf and O2s work together but you thought it would fix it by changing the maf but the O2 is out of the question?its a mandatory common part to be changed they start working after the car gets to operating temperature change your pre cat O2s and ECU doesnt matter what order...as for ECU you need the capaciters changed pull out the ECU and see if it has a new sticker on it with a date withing 12 years meaning its been rebuilt if not just get it done ive seen prices as low as 80 and as high as 500 just call around

I had similar problems and had people telling me to check/replace my ECU.
My car is a 92 sc400

I did the coils, plugs, wires, MAF, o2 sensors, coolant temp sensor...............made the car a little better. Still hesitating, misfiring. Didn't fix the problem.

A CL member recommended seafoaming my car

I seafoamed the car, 1/3 crankcase, 1/3 intake, 1/3 gas tank and drove the **** out of it from vegas to LA and back a couple times, as well as running fuel injector cleaner through 3 tanks,

Runs amazing now. No hesitation, or misfiring.

I just wanted to throw this out there, because if I had replaced my ECU, it wouldn't have helped
