Default relocating harness question

Jus got some BC racing coilovers n theyre comin in next week and i was going to roll my fenders and relocate my harness, I've seen people on this forum relocating it to the engine bay and some just move it up higher and tie it with zip ties... i was thinking of doing the latter because it would save time and be a bit easier and i was wondering if that would be ok and the save the harness from getting chewed up..

Seriously bro, you're about to get "flamed" for not searching...lol I'll help you out. Moving the wire harness up in the engine bay is a good idea. Just make sure you do a thorough loom wrap, and you should be alright. Here's a DIY on it.

Good luck!

Well its gonna be really dependant on your height and dampening because naturally you not gonna be rubbing the inside-top of your fender but if your low enough on certain bumps and level changes sometimes its unavoidable to rub a bit.

Honestly i wouldnt chance it and just take the minimal time to re route it, it takes quite a bit longer to repair a torn up harness and anything else that gets fried

Do it the right way, zip ties will not last. It only takes like an hour.

Hmm spend 30 minutes and in the end you get your wires chewed up, blow a bunch of fuses and your car doesn't work

Or spend extra 15-30 minutes to guarantee you will never cut throw your wires, and you can go as low as you want.

Hmm which would be better

I don't see how would routing it to the engine bay take any longer? What's so hard about unclipping the plugs, pulling it out, inserting it in the hole to the engine bay and back to the wheel well, then replugging them in? When you strap them, it takes time too in strapping them in multiple places? Not to mention that the tires will still chew the PLASTIC straps slowly then your wire harness would completely be exposed.
