Default Age before miles?

Hey everyone I was wondering, would it be safe to say that the SC wares more by age then by mileage? I know these engines last a long time so mostly electrical problems and such are which break which usually takes time correct? Thanks inadvance!

i agree with you. I have a 92 with 66k miles and needs more service than a 95 with 120k miles....

I have a 93 SC400 with 191k. StiLL runs strong. No major stuff. Had to replace the cracked radiator an air sensor and control arms. Other than that only normal stuff you know at 100k timing belt. That is it

My 92 with only 75k is perfect. It was parked in a heated california garage, driven only for long distances twice a week, maintained by Lexus, and never put in performance mode until I GOT A HOLD OF IT. I have not found a single thing needing service.

This is far different than a car parked outside on the east coast driven only for daily trips down the block. That would wear a car out.

Interesting thread thou.

Yeah PCMW, I would think that your car isn't the norm hehe

And I do live on the east coast and unless I find and "older" owner it most likely will be more worn out.

I have a 92 with 150k on it, and the car feels just as smooth as the first day I drove it. I've had this car for 5 yrs.
I commute to school 4-5 days a week, a 30min fwy drive each way. Been doing that for past 2 yrs, and nothing serious happened to my lovely car.
