I am currently looking into a 1993 Lexus SC400, I have loved these cars ever since I first saw one.
I am very comfortable working on cars and so I'm looking at a small project Lexus.
The main problems are the doors only open about 2 feet wide? I have heard they are sprung? is this a common problem how hard/expensive is it to fix?
Also the drivers seats are shredded anyone have spares or know of a yard that might have some in colorado?
Anything else to look out for? its fairly low miles ~140k Its priced well so I want to hop on it so quick replies would be appreciated

the doors don't open very far and that is a normal part of the car and in my opinion a very good thing when you are parking and get out/in.

common problems are listed everywhere on this forum if you search, just like every other car forum online... but here i'll do the searching for you.

not trying to be rude, this thread just happens 3x a week.

they are good cars, just the mileage and age need to be taken into consideration. small fixes here and there and you will be happy as ever once you've done them. bit pricey to fix but what other rwd cars last as long?
