Oh, I forgot to mention I have a 5 speed 94 SC300.
I know some of the alarms out there "say" their not for manual tranny cars.
I think the Clifford manual tranny auto start alarm has some sore of sensor to make sure the car ins't in gear when it starts.
I'm not sure how the other ones work
(do they hope that you remembered to leave it in neutral?)

Don't do it... bad idea...
Friend has that on his BMW with a 5 speed. His girlfriend drove the car and parked it at the mall in 1st. Came back out after 3 hours of shopping. He takes the keys, starts the car to find it. Then gets a front row seat as the car starts and begins to push the car park in the next row facing the other direction about 5 feet. It hit the tire of the other car because the spots were angled, but never the less, the car was blocking the next lane. Just so happens that by the time he gets to his car, a cop is the one being blocked by this car in the lane. He told the cop that he slipped and let the clutch out accidently. The cop bought the story and told him to leave his name/insurance on the car.
Long story short, don' t do it. He is extremely cautious with his cars and he installs over 50 alarms a week. If he screwed that up, i would think anyone else would do it monthly.
