Sorry I said 2000 the car is really a 99 and yes I agree the the leather being the way it is was due to poor up keep and not having tinted windows. The plan for the interior might be what I always had in mind with my old SC which was to swap in a set of SC430 seats and just redo the rest of the needed areas at local interior shop. Which is now MUCH easier since the interior is already black. And then just the basic run down of mods for the rest of the car TT brakes, Tein Coils, Blitz Exhaust, front lip, 19's,smoked tails, sway bars, then the good ol boost..... what did i get myself into again lol
Just an interesting thought - why get a big barge, and spend money to make it a sports car when you can just get sports car (350z or S2000 for example - both great cars) that *stock* will be way more sportier than SC will ever be.

Because I get a semi functional back seat and an SC is just my kinda car. I looked into many many other cars but at the end of the day I always came back to the SC for various reasons. And if I wanted to really buy a sports car I will pick up E46/E92 M3 with CSL mods
Could you elaborate on why you think the vvti sensor is stuck? Just curious as I have a 99 and I'm chasing strange idle problem.
because we took out the VVTi solenoid located at the top of the engine near the cam gear. We cleaned it up lubed it up and it idled perfect. The next morning i got the same idle issues went to the dealer bought the solenoid brand new, haven had any issues since then
