Default Wheel fitment for widebody kit

Okay fellow sc lovers. I've recently came across an issue that I don't know much about. I have a 92 sc300 with a wide vertex body kit. I have 17" rims on it now but it looks really small and it sits really far in under the body kit and I have 1' 1/2 spacers on back and it still is sunk in. I have recently found a pair of 18" deep dish rims that I really really like and I want them but am afraid if I get them if they will fit in the provided wheel well space.

Main questions.

1. Will 18" fit in wheel well space
2. Will the body kit rub
3. How can I get the rim to stick out past the body kit and have the tire ride inside the wheel well.

Plz help :/

18s will definitely fit. No issue at all. As a matter of fact, with your body kit, 18s will still look small.
Your body kit shouldn't rub if you have the correct specs for your wheels, height of the car, size of tire, etc... A lot you need to take into account. A lot more than if it'll fit in the wheel well...

Start off by checking the wheel fitment thread... You can get an idea on what kind of specifications you'd need/want for your car

You'll need 20" wheels with the Vertex wide body kit. 19" will work, but you'll need fat tires. I'd think you'll need around +25 offset for the wheels, 10.5" for the rear wheel and 8.5" for the front. The tires would be at least 305/30/19 on rear and 245/35/19 on front. You can then run small spacers if needed. To be sure, search for the thread Vertex wide body kit and ask for those who have it.

18s or 19s look good with that kit. And at least a 10" width in the front with 11" or 12" in the rear. Offsets around 0 is a good start but it would be easy to get into the negatives. Its dumb to have to run huge spacers to get the wheels flush with the wide body kit.

youll need a 10" wide front and 11" wide rear at 0 offset to fit decent with that kit. or some neg offsets for aggressive fitment on any wheel. search, handfull of people here with the kit.

post up some pics

Thanks for all the opinions guys it's really helped with my process of elimination. I definitely want the same size and width rim all the way around though so I can rotate them. Also. Tell me what you guys think about this...

I'm getting air ride suspension reaaaal soon so I can drop and raise this thing at will. But I wanna make sure that if I drop it that it won't set on my tire. Also i don know what it's called but I would like the rim to stick out past the body kit and the lip of the tire still sticking in almost flush with the kit. I think it's called stretching the tires??
