Default swap help, opinions wanted

hi guys I'm currently in the middle of swapping my motor but this is where i need some help and i like some opinions, to start off i have my stock motor out i already split the tranny and I'm right at the point were i would need to get a new motor, i was pretty dead set on putting in a 2jzgte from a aristo and slapping on my w58, but iv hit money issues and I'm wondering should i just do a 1jz swap iv heard its much cheaper to do and is almost plug and play, iv done all of my research regarding the 2jzgte swap so i don't know much about the 1jz any info would be appreciated, id especially like to hear from anyone thats running a 1jz with stock twins and how the car pulls and handles, due to my money issues id be keeping it stock until the winter and id like to have an idea what to expect, thank you for your advice in advance

there are plenty of ppl running 500hp+ on a stock 1j. it is a cheaper route and to me its an easier swap. stock its not the fastest car in the world but it drives great.

thts all the info i can give seeing as i myself have stock twins and am by no means fast. but my car drives great and its reliable. also it has the potential to be great.

A stock 1j is a great little motor and very capable of 5-600 hp fairly easily. A stock 1j on twins with a couple of mods could easily get you in the 330-350 hp range and there a blast to drive .

Stroke, map sensor,2 turbos, oil squirters front facing intake, coil on plug, 2 cam sensors, fuel injector size and feed type, rpms, approx 100hp at the wheels .5liters smaller just to name a few.LOL

14-16 PSI is about the max boost you would want to run.

This sticker is dangerous and inconvenient, but I do love Fig Newtons.
