That wouldn't be any different than what I've already got, would it? I.e., great daytime visibility, so-so nighttime with the white sides reflecting a bit of backlight.

I don't think you read everything above.

I probably missed this yesterday, but maybe the option wasn't there yet based on post count? Anyway, I see the Manage Attachments option down below, separate from the Insert Image option above, so here's the daytime shot of my electrical tape mod.

You would just be better off buying one of our 3M white LED strips, sticking it to the bottom of the cluster assembly facing upward and illuminating the whole inside behind the lens.

Less than $20

That doesn't produce weird glare?

I don't know, but it seems like a cheap second option. I doubt there would be glare if it's angled towards the gauge face.

The other thing you could do is buy our UV purple LED strip, paint the needles with UV paint and presto!

I was thinking the gauge faces themselves would provide the glare. They are a pretty flat black, but LED lighting is pretty intense... Gotta run off to another appointment (busy morning), then I'll be giving you a call to discuss options.

For anyone wondering, Tanin can do just the needles for ~70% of the cost of the full cluster. I forgot to ask if I can have just the speedo/tach ones done, though.
