I think I know the answer to my own question. That the LS400 Steering wheel does fit on the SC 300.

I see some used LS400 steering wheel w/ wood on Ebay for only about $100-150. I'm wondering why some of us are paying $400 for American Stitches Group Buy when these LS400 ones will do?

Only thing I can notice is that the used LS400 wheels can have small hairline fractures in wood's clearcoat, but that can hardly be a big deal right?
Am I missing something else here?

I thought the airbag is uninstalled b4 the wheel is removed? and therefore a separate component?
Are you saying that the LS400 wheel wouldn't work on the SC because of the airbag diff?

If the LS400 wheel fits, you may also need to transplant a ls400 airbag, the sc one may be different.

I think Manaray confirmed that even the GS three spoke wheels fit, but you also need an airbag, which adds to the cost.

most of the lexus wheels (if not all of them) will interchange but the AIRBAG is the issue...not only do you have to the right shaped airbag, but it has to have the right connector...and even with the right connector, there is no guarantee that the airbag will work correctly if you cross over to a different model or even a different year!

So the risk is ENTIRELY on the person who does this swap.

As for the LS400's wheel working on the SC with the SC's airbag. NOPE. Already tried...
