Only race mine is when a piece of crap stang or Camaro pulls up next to me and thinks they are boss. I hate those cars.. dime a dozen of them. Just the way i feel about them.

I feel the same way. Add Corvettes to that list too.
None of them ever race me though cause they're afraid of getting smoked by a Japanese car.

The SC can be a very good track car. It has a very good weight distribution, a very strong and well built chassis and dual wishbone front / multi link rear suspension which is still a common setup on a lot of super cars. It does need some modifications to make it really track worthy, and I'm not talking about power, but SC's do handle very well, especially for how old and fat they are. But I'd still prefer an MKII MR2 for tracking any day

If they won't race you then taunt them until they floor it to get away from you then blow past them and teach them a lesson this way which this is my method of choice for the "I am better than you because I drive a vette/mustang/ camaro" crowd.

I race my SC400 in Chumpcar and WRL. Just did a 12 hour last weekend. We finally did a W58 swap two winters ago, and its so much more fun.

I'm running the gixxer drew coilover set up with 800# fronts and 400# rears. Mobil1 10W40, redline trans and diff fluids, ATE super blue brake fluid.

What kind of brake pads were you using? OEM brakes or different calipers? Any ducting for cooling and such did you have any brake fade issues?

LS400 front calipers, stock rears. I run Raybestos ST43 race pads from Porterfield. We've added brake ducting, but more so for when we run Road America, which is really hard on brakes. Our home course in MN isn't very hard on brakes and we survived for a few years without ducting. Never any fade issues.
