Just go to the auto parts store and buy a set of license plate mounting kit. There are only two types, one for domestics (SAE) and one for imports (metric). As far as I know, they are pretty much universal. Cost should be under $5 for the bolts and bolt covers.

Your car should have two tabs that clip around the hole, and there are just two screws (bolts) that hold the plate on. (You are talking about the rear, right?)

I have four left over if you want them, but the cost of shipping them to you would defeat the purpose.

Mosh, you say there should be two tabs....you mean those are tabs put there by Lexus??? Because if so, I dont have those.
You mean the holes in the car too....not tabs that go around the license plate holes?
Definately get back to me on this though.

Yes ....

Your bumper cover (or bumper as most people know it) is made out of fiberglas plastic, so the holes cannot have good threads to hold the bolts. So they (meaning Lexus or anybody who may have installed your bumper cover) should have put those metal tabs around the hole. The tabs have a hole and collar, which is threaded for the bolts.

The tabs go onto the bumper first -- they just slide into place around the bumper holes. Then you put the bolts into the license plate hole and screw it into the tab's collar. The tabs serve as a nut, if you will. If you can find a bolt-and-nut combination, you might be able to use it, but it will be a pain in the a$$ to install the nut. Your best bet is to find the tabs.

If those tabs are missing, you'll have to find it somewhere. I have no idea where you can get them less the salvage yard or Lexus dealer. Your dealer should be able to order you a couple. Last time I needed something that costed 60 cents, when it came in, the guy just said don't worry about it -- no charge.
