This would be ideal in case you ever change your mind or need to touch up, plus it looks exactly the same.

ahhh i never thought about using plasti-dip, that would probably be the best way without removing the trim piece and sending it to a paint shop

I'm going to gold mine out soon to match my emblems and exhaust tips. Found a mixture of translucent candy paints that turn chrome to gold! I'll be sure to post pics when I'm done with it.

There should be several threads on this topic but might as well chime in. Mine is covered with black vinyl pre-cut to fit the SC. Pic for reference:

Definitely looks good on a white SC. Plastidip would be the best way to go now a days but there are options like tape or painting it.

By guys I am in Regina is hint and. Illusion at wyotech. I'll ask one of the instructors what they think about this maybe there is a professional way to do it yourself and make it right. Not that electrical tape is wrong it is vinyl based and so that's not bad.

I used Trimbrite blackout tape. You can find it on amazon or eBay.

I Plasti-Dipped the wifes car cuz the black paint was chipping. Quick fix that turned out looking a lot better than I expected. It came out good enough that I dipped the emblems on my SC

My buddy 2.5tsoarer used to sell them since he owns a vinyl/graphic store in Tampa. He also used to sell them on Ebay but not sure if its still on there or not I think now plasti-dip is the easiest way to go when it comes to this task but I've had my vinyl on for years with no problem at all.
