i used Performix PLASTI DIP. my friend bought it from Lowe's, he had some left over so i used it. once it stops raining i can fix the drivers side. when i was laying the tape i messed up, so now i have to re-due it.
over all i would say it was a quick and easy job. i do plan on doing the emblems, but it has been raining.

i starting doing mine yesterday. this is what I've done so far.
some peeling and fading
Here is the taping off
here is about 2-3 coats
not quite done, but close
wasn't hard, i did make a couple little mistakes on the driver side that i will have to re-due. but i like it. within the next couple months i plan on plasti-dippin the whole car with a custom color.

for the trim, just take your time when removing the overspray. but even if you take your time it could still mess up. it happened to me on my driverside. i havent fixed it yet cause it has been raining off and on for the past 4 days. but once i get it it repaired and all pretty like, i will post finished pics

when you say you tried using a brush, what did you mean, for cleaning the overspray off? i used a clean wet rag and sponge to get the extra off.
