My name is Jos and I figured since I hadn't introduced myself that I should put up some pics and share my idea for a custom intake I had instead of a BFI.
There is nothing better in my opinion than a clean SC. Just an absolutely gorgeous car.
I'll update this as I go alone with things that happen or I get done.
All comments are welcome and general talk is appreciated!
If anybody wants any questions answered just ask and I'll get back to you asap.
Thanks

This is my favourite photo I took, however if somebody is good with photoshop can they put it on another backdrop? haha.
This is what the intake looks like.
It ran and fit perfectly where the restrictive stock intake system ran, right under the headlight.
And this is where the filter sits. It's collecting the coolest air it possible could and really does make a roar when you thump it. It's really simple and a nice little upgrade for me.

They guy I got it from even left the plastic under the floor mats to protect the carpet. So did I.
I'm going to be getting my double din receiver pretty soon seeing as the stock CD Changer is starting to skip and not read half the time. Plus it will give the car a much more updated look.
Having said that, I get asked all the time how much I paid for it and what year it is. Just proves it's design is timeless and attractive still today after people's faces hit the floor when you tell them it's almost 20 years old.

Thanks for the compliments! It really is clean and that's what made me buy it.
Kira X - Actually, I disconnected my negative on my battery during installation because I didn't like how the ECU's preset had become one set my a slow or cruising driver. Once I'd installed the intake and hooked the battery back up I warmed the car up and drove it pretty hard down the road and around a parking lot. The amount of power difference was extremely noticeable over the former preset. However, power wise, it probably makes 3WHP extra if that...it's just sucking up colder air in more amounts. If you really want to make this worthwhile make sure you tighten your throttle cable too and you'll have fanstastic response on an N/A.
I still have a stock exhaust as I plan on going the NA-T route sometime soon so I can't compare to anyone who has headers installed.

Joey - E: If you remove the stock airbox and your headlight you'll see that in the little compartment there are some
predrilled holes on the frame ready for a bolt. I used an L bracket and screwed it onto my filter then bolted it to the frame. It doesn't move at all.
Running the hose is the simple part. I got my hose and maf adapter from O'reilly's. Most auto parts stores should have them. The hose should run right in the corner when I put it otherwise you'll A) squash the tube too much and B) have you headlight slightly off from a flush fit. It fits great right in the corner.
You will need a few nuts and bolts to fit the adapter to your maf sensor and may have to drill matching holes on your adapter. I'm off work tomorrow, I'll try and get some pictures to show what I did.
