Default HELP!!! my sunroof is stuck open!!

I've been searching here for the whole day and I couldn't find anything. Also tried looking in the owners manual and couldn't find anything. I checked all the fuses and all the relays and everything is fine. But for some reason the whole control panel that controls the sunroof and has the dome and map lights is not getting any power. Is there a way to manually close the sunroof or connect it to a direct 12v source just to close it? any help is greatly appreciated!!!

im not sure about the sc300... but most cars with a sunroof/moonroof have a manual crank or something that you can tun to open or close the port.. try taking the plastic trim piece off of the roof controls.. there may be a hex hed bolt in there that you can put an allen wrench into to close it.. just an idea..

Look in your tool kit in the trunk. They have a special tool just for this. If I remember right they even tell you how to close it in the manual.

Its page 141 in the owners manual for my 1992. You need to remove that brass screw, then insert the tool and crank it close.

you need to remove that bolt(screw) with the flathead pattern.

its on VERY tight but once u get that off you should be able to manually close the window , check your manual if u have one it explains better ,,but yes its that flathead bolt that needs to come off.

I've been trying for the past hour and that screw doesn't want to come off. Is it a regular thread or reverse thread screw?

it is a regular thread screw. Screw or turn it counterclockwise wise. check inside the tracking on both sides and make sure nothing has feel in there...

Go to autozone and buy an impact screw driver. Basically its a screwdriver you hit on the end with a hammer and it turns the screw. Didn't think that they'd make it that hard to get off.

Thanks for all the help guys!!! I went to the hardware store and bought the biggest vicegrip they had and used it a huge flat head screwdriver i had. It worked like a charm. For anyone wondering why it's tight, Lexus put blue thread locker in the threads so it doesn't come loose from the sunroof opening and closing. I was able to close the sunroof finally. Love you guys!!! no homo!!! LOL

are you sure the dome light fuse and the accessory fuse are not blown? common one is something metal falling into the cigarette lighter spot but not sure about it taking out the sunroof controls.
