Default Got me a hole

A couple days ago I was on my way home from work and a lady cut in front of me in Trailblazer. She slammed on her brakes and took off before I could get her plate number. Her tow hitch impaled my bumper cover but luckily didn't hit anything else. I was able to pull the piece out but it still looks like crap. I really can't afford to buy a new bumper cover right now so is there any way to repair this, or will I just have to buy a new one? I do have a spare parts car but the front bumper cover is in way worse condition than this one so that option is out. Any and all suggestions would be appreciated.

That's what I say. Find a bumper and paint man. Sorry to hear your loss.

nkysoarer is right, ur best bet right now is to go to the junkyard and find a new bumper for cheap.

You could take it off and repair it. Fiberglass behind the hole, then use body filler to make it smooth then paint it. But IMO it would be better to just get a new bumper.

You're lucky because it would've been your fault for rear ending the other car.

I would go to a junkyard but I can count the number of SC's rolling around here on one hand so needless to say I probably won't be able to go that route. Looks like the repair thing is the way to go.

I'm almost glad she bailed cuz I hate dealing with all the insurance b.s. I can look at this as a learning experience and testing my body work skills which I'm somewhat lacking.

Thanks for the replies, I appreciate it

At least it was a Trailblazer. Replace the bumper. A salvage yard will have it, aliga will have it as well as a couple other vendors on CL.

The lack of funds right now is what's keeping from getting another one. I'm just gonna try to repair it on the cheap without making it look like a kindergarten art project. I plan on getting a new one but I'm in the process of getting my wifes SC roadworthy again so my car will have to wait

I know I'm atleast 400 miles from you but I'll be installing my kit over the winter if you want a free 92 royal jade cover. It should be off by DEC or so

So you hit her in the back (your fault) and SHE took off...... what are you complaining about again?

Be lucky she was illegal/didn't have insurance/was transporting a large amount of drugs.............. and wasn't interested in sticking around to sue you.

Well if you had to deal with skill level of the drivers that I deal with on a daily basis, you'd be pissed too LOL. This is pretty much a regular occurance and I just happened to be unlucky that morning. Thanks so much
