Default steering doesnt return to home position

well i recently replaced my powersteering rack because it was leaking. i did the alignment and got it all into spec. i noticed when i make a turn and let the wheel slip through my hands it doesnt seem to want to return back tot he straight back position. i noticed on one of the lines that there is a place for a connector, which it did not have one on there when i removed the rack, is there supposed to be one on there of was that just an option for the sc's i bought this car used so am slowly working out all the kinks with it. and would that have to do with the wheel not returning to the home position.

thankyou
