What is the specific model sub your are running? I googled it real quick and it says that it can run in free air.

Any shaking or rattles with the free air sub there?
Just a basic Kicker CompVR10 sub. No rattles thanks to good ol Dynamat. No problem running it free air.

Fronts are 5.25" components and rears are 6.5" triaxials.

Didn't separate the plastic from the metal. I used a cutoff wheel to shave down the metal housing so the sub would fit under the factory grill. Afterwards I used camper shell tape to seal for air leaks around the sub.

Thanks for the advice. Definitely going to dynamat the rear deck when putting in the free air sub. I'll do this all over the winter while my car is stored. It's the only thing on my audio system that I never completed.

If you want to re-use your stock speaker enclosures I did a write up on how to do it on this thread.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/5564109-post6.html

Gives you a nice enclosure for your front speakers.

Looks real nice, great that it doesn't take up any more space then a stock set up other then the amp of course, but you probably got rid of the old amp/cd changer so you probably even have more space then before. Looks real good, in fact I think I'm going to do the same thing. That amp is hooked to all your speakers and the sub as well?

Technically belongs in the audio section, but will leave it here as long as it is showing off and not needing help. Those forums are more for tech issues.
