Sc400 2jzgtte swap opinion thread.
Well I have decided to keep my SC400 and was looking for some opinions of people that have done what I am thinking of doing and can maybe share some of their thoughts. My sc400 has 200,6xx miles on with a salvaged title, so immediately any resale value the car may have once had is gone. Currently the car is riddled with small problems here and there such as the engine burning a bit of oil, tranny making strange noises in first and idle, and various cosmetic issues. For more info on the car you can look here.
My plan is to eventually pick up a NA MKIV supra, so I am thinking to just build the SC with parts that will be transferable to the MKIV supra, such as a 2jzgte engine, r154 transmission, wheels, coilovers, sound system, etc. Then drive the moded SC around and save for a MKIV. Then after I get a MKIV just parting the SC400 out as it wont be worth anything for resale and transfer everything over to the MKIV.
Just wondering if anyone had any insite on this and if it would be worth it or should I just live with the SC problems save my money and get a MKIV THEN buy all the mods. Thanks guys,
