The most common is the 300, it comes stock with a 2jz v6 engine. The 400 has the 1uz v8 engine. 300's are easier to mod and cheaper, so building a drift car I would take an sc300. Some people like to swap the 1jz engine into their cars just because theyre easier to find than 2jz's.

What he said. This has been covered a bunch on here. The 300 or the 400 can be done. Easier is the 300. Especially finding a manual one already.

SC300 are lighter then the SC400's bonus, mostly drive train weight. however the stock 2jz is not a v6 it's an inline 6. has only 2 manifolds on the car intake, and exhaust. also easier to do the 1jz swap, manual swap in the SC300. if you want a manual that needs 2 new axels lmk i got one local that the guy would love to sell.

It all depends on what you want. I would just get a sc300 and NA-T it or drop in a 1j

If you're gonna drift just get the cheapest 5-speed SC300 and go from there.
