Hey, I have found a 1992 Black SC300 in Va ( About 6-7 hrs away ) 5 speed for 9K. The car is black, in perfect condition, except for a few dings, and has only 83K original miles. I was wondering if you guys thought this was a good deal or no? Heres some pics of it

I think its a good deal, when I get the money I will go down an check it out, just needed some other opinions.

i ended up paying $9000, and it is well worth it. it seems to be well taken care of.

 

Good luck passing emissions. I was going to buy it but was unsure of it - I ran the vin through car fax and it has failed emission testing in two states. The car did appear very clean though and is probably overall a good buy. The emission failure problem may have been corrected. I asked the owner but he or she never responded to my question. So looks like you win. Anyways, I still have the copy of the carfax on that car if you would like it. Also some advice on passing the emissions if it is necessary. PM me if you care to. Make sure you are running at least 90 octane in that car. It may be as simple as cleaning the throttle body and intake manifold.

 

C's also make a short shifter for the sc300 5spd

 

thanks for the info, but we dont have emissions testing here. i did start putting 90+ octane in it so hopefully that will help. i was planning on running some injector cleaner thru her too. any other suggestions for the care of one of these cars would be greatly appreciated.
