Default Difference in keys?

I am looking to cut a spare key and came across one on ebay that said it was for a 96 and up.

I know somewhere in 97-98 they changed the keys to the 3-button fob. Did the key lengths change? Are 92-95 keys different from 96?

I believe the 92-96 are the same. Changes occured in 97 and up with the key fob. If i remember correctly. I still think the lengths are all the same of the actual key regardless of year.

Thanks, seller said he works in a dealership and there is a split production date, where the key changed in the later months on 95. I assume there is noway to program the 3-button key to work on the 1 button key system or on an aftermarket system right?
