Default 1993 Sc300 Pricecheck!

Price check please!

Salvaged title on rear quarter panel(guy said it wasn't bad, said previous owner before him fixed it pretty well..idk). My dad is scared if it'll last.

"This is an original 5spd/w58 Sc300 with 178k on the clock! It has a clean title, new tires, new brakes including rotors with an alignment, new instrument cluster with bright LED bulbs, new carpet/trunk lining. The drivetrain on this car is very impressive. 2j's are built to last and this car shows it, with the w58's tall gears theres plenty of power and torque The tranny doesn't grind, the clutch grabs as if it were new. "

3,000 sounds pretty fair.

Buy it. Don't worry about the fender, that can be fixed.

3-4K would be more than fine.

I agree that price is fair. Hell I bought my SC400 for 2500. But mine needed some work.

$2,000 is the most I'd spend on it.

Find one with a clean title, imo. With that mileage AND salvage, I'd pay about... meh... I wouldn't buy it at all. Definitely not $3k.

Don't bother with it, I don't see why anybody would want a salvaged title if it was their daily driver.

Default 1999 SC400 Pricecheck!

It's salvaged, I want to drive it as a DD.

Is it worth having a salvaged title car is my DD?

Said it was hit in the front, corner right. Hood, bumper and light got replaced, looks like it got fixed pretty well.

141,xxx miles.

Best picture he has of the fixed damage, sent me a video and it looks PERFECTLY fixed.

Thanks guys!

More worried about driving a salvaged-fixed car rather than price.

How much? You will be able to negotiate on that title issue. Looks like a nice car and that is a good year for the SC400. The Salvaged Title per se is not an issue if you intend to keep the car a long time and buy it right.

The older the car gets, the less of an issue the ST is.

As long as your not planning to sell it, it's a perfect DD but what is the price?

For 3000 ,since the rear quarter is repaired, is a decent price imo, especially if you're not planning on reselling and just putting miles on DD. The biggest concern about rear quarter panel damage is that if it wasn't repaired correctly you'll have improper tracking (car basically drives a straight line a bit sideways) because the frame is technically bent.

I'd also find out how the rear quarter panel got messed up too. Essentially you want to try and know if the guy was trying to be a drift god and slammed into a power line because the car could've had a pretty hard life and could indicate problems for the future.
