Key Problems
I am brand new to this forum but have found useful posts in the past as a visitor. Yesterday I purchased a pristine 1992 SC 400 with just 89K miles. It was originally purchased in the summer of 1991 by the elderly couple from whom I acquired it. While everything appears to be in good shape, I've encountered unexpected problems with the keys. I have three keys: a master, a second full key without transponder and a valet key. The first two keys are extremely difficult to insert into the ignition, the trunk lock and the dashboard lock which disables the trunk mechanism. The valet key fits easily in all of these locks. I've already applied a lock lubricant with no noticeable improvement. My local Lexus dealer has simply suggested that the keys may be worn and offered to obtain new keys for me at a rather substantial cost. Anyone out there have any insights or suggestions? Anything I may have missed?

welcome very helpful website and if you want to mod that 1uzfe i also want to suggest another website that is mainly for our v8's is lextreme.com
but anywho how do the keys look the can be new keys and not cut properly. valet key will fit perfect in those because they are cut differently to disable certian things. but i would try to have them recut first or just buy blanks and your local lock-smith will help you out. doubt theres any issue with the cyclenders
