Yeah, I'm agreeing with the people who think that you should keep your Lexus. It's not worth trying to lie to your insurance company or "manipulate the truth" so that you can "insure" the car. Unless you plan on using this for track only purpose (i.e. drift, drag, circuit, autox, etc.) it really isn't worth the time and money. However, if you have the money and are able to afford a toy like this then go for it. However, if you can't afford to do something like that then you should keep the SC. Parts will be easier to get like others have said and there are a larger group of people in the US who drive and you can obtain info from (aka Club Lexus).

Plus it can NEVER be 100% legal in this country and will be at risk of being seized and either deported or crushed trust me I had a couple of jdm rhd cars here and I was always looking over my shoulder.

It can be state titled but never fed legal....

Agreed.

Somebody mentioned the S15 interior lacking class, like it's on par w/ a Celica, or a Prelude ...) I agree with that also, and since I just turned 30; Im thinking I want something thats more "grown man", if ya know what i mean ...
Im beginning to change my mind, about exchanging cars.
If I had the money for another car, and could have "both", then it'd be no question.
Like I said though, I really love my Lexus; I think thats enough reason to keep it.

Here's my car though ...

MODS:
TEIN: Cruising Master - Comfort Sport Coilovers
*Just lowered it another 1.5" actually; so its sitting nicely over the wheel now.

Fujitsubo: Legalis-R Exhaust
Steal-Braided Brake Lines
Supra TT: Front Lower Control Arm's
LS400 Big Brakes
Stop-Tech Rotors (Cross Drilled & Slotted)
Cold-Air Intake w/ K&N Filter
HID Lights w/ Projectors
15% Tint

I would not do it. There are so many ways you can mod the sc to your liking. And when done right I think an sc will forever turn heads. At the end of the day, IT'S A LEXUS BABY! !!!! Just doesn't get much better than that.

I would only get an S15 if I wanted to dump all my money into drifting, but I'm on a budget so I would stick to my SC lol. All comes down to what you wanna do and what you like.

I'd take the S15 in a heartbeat. The SC is cool but you can always find another.

Call me crazy but I feel my Lex is higher class than that car. Nicer interior. Nicer finish. Better quality. Better looks. I wouldn't do it. Honestly our cars are cheap on the market for some weird reason but I'm never selling mine because to me it's worth far more than what I'd get for it. For me I feel it would be a downgrade if I went from an SC400 to an s13,14,15. Brand new the SC400 was much more expensive, the car is better made. SC has major modding potential if you dump cash into it too.

Thanks for the input you guys.
You're right though; maybe if it was a turboed SR20, I'd do it; but it's not, and I love my SC honestly.
Im keeping it.

On another subject, 'cus it comes up all the time ... We gotta find a way to up the value of the SC's ... Really.
They don't deserve to be in the place that they are, amongst Tuner Cars; they're severely undervalued.
If we were one of the "hero cars" and the F&F franchise, we'd go up in a heart beat.
How can we do something like that?

Nevermind, Im making this a new thread; it's real issue that needs to be dealt with, more so than friggin' S15's.

Silvia's are nice!!! but not gonna be nice when you start ordering parts.....nissan is expensive on parts. not much support when you need like a brand new dash, interior parts and such, everything you are gonna be buying is gonna be used... but if you like, then hey do your thing... i aint mad at you...lol
and like xspsi6 said they can be state titled but not fed legal....
