Default Question about window trim?

My question is how did some of you all out there paint the chrome trim around the windows? I've tried searching and can't find anything about it so I figured I'd ask. I want to paint it black cause there is absolutely nothing else chrome on my car. So any help would be great. The pieces I am talking about are pictured below. Thanks

You remove the trim, and use plastidip, like Chapabig said.
EDIT The plasti-dip should work on chrome...

You dont really have to remove the trim, the trick is to clean it real good, spray it with plasti dip (3 coats) do not take too long in between coats and remove tape right away, if you let the plasti dip dry before taking tape away, it will peel right off from your trim, remeber, that plasti-dip is like rubber, so if it dries, it will be stuck all together

I would simply remove the chrome on the trim, it's probably black and no need to paint.

I wouldnt do the Plasti-dip method, I tried it and it would peel off, I used "Blackout tape" and it holds up fine.

It looks alot better once you blackout that trim!

I had no problems with doing the plastidip on my car just used painters tape around the edges of the trim and just sprayed the car. The key is to do multiple thin coats, then to try and do thick ones. But i haven't had any issues with it peeling and its been on my car since september, so it has seen, heat, snow, rain, auto car washes, etc.

... I install vinyl films, I plan on wrapping my chrome trim in gloss black. Already did it to the B-Pillars that are part of the door that was some stupid gunmetal color.

Vinyl is another method. Just get yourself some matte black striping vinyl from 3M/ Avery / Oracal and a sharp razor / exacto for trimming.

I believe the OP is talking about the small strip of chrome trim around the passenger/rear window of the Sc.

KingPhilip how did you paint yours? Did you mask off the whole car and paint it or take it off then spray it?
