Question (In Dash) Digital Battery/Alt Volt meter that looks good.

I got
This This
battery monitor. I LOVE having this info at all times and this device dominates my cigarette lighter now.
This device alerted me to my alternator issues and I replaced it yesterday without getting stuck (well it clicked yesterday but I also purchased
THIS THIS
(super efficient) jump starter that got me going in seconds.)
I didn't waste any time trying to charge the battery or otherwise diagnose my problem.

I want this info at all times.
Has anyone seen a good looking permanently mounted, directly wired digital meter that monitors battery and charging system like this one does?

Question

Wow! Almost 100 views and no replies..

Has this been covered before and i missed it?
Is it a silly question somehow?
Is it simply something no one has the answer to?

Other than any off the shelf volt gauge, there really isnt much for an odb1 car. I looked at your thread yesterday and was going to suggest a ScanGauge or TurboGauge-V, but they are for odb2 and utilize the odb2 port to gather data.

I would say if the item you already have works, install an additional outlet in your car, or get a socket expansion plug.

Thanks, I appreciate the reply. If nothing pops up, I will do just that. It has been working. ;-)

I mounted something like that on my car. I'll post a picture of it later.

I am clueless about odb1 and odb2 (but i will look it up).

I assume we have odb1 from your reply. I didn't see that mentioned in the ads for the gauges' I saw.

I will perhaps have to call the manufacturers.

Thank You TurboDremz!

Pre-96 is ODB1.

I agree with Cleanshots, take the thing apart you have now and hardwire it to the car and make a simple mount for it..center airvent maybe?

Awesome idea. If I had seen this first, I would not have ordered the blue one.

That would work just fine, and would actually be easy to wire in. I didnt see this earlier, but that is what I referred to in my first response.
