Newb here - A few questions within
Hey fellas...
I just picked up a 93 SC400 as a daily driver and it's a great car! So... I had to register here as well and learn all the ins and outs of it. Anyway...Just wanted say hello and let you guys know I'll be asking lots of lame questions for a while.
Here's the first one.... my car's got those ugly (to me anyway) gold emblems. What can I do to either change them to silver or black OR where can I get some new silver emblems to replace them?
It's also got the gold exhaust tips, but I think that a bit of sand paper will take care of that then I can polish the tips back out.
Thanks in advace... if anyone has some emblems they are trying to get rid of let me know! jimswantko@hotmail.com

Welcome,
Nice Supra also.
ClubLexus is a great resource for ANY question you may have. It is simply a matter of doing a search first. There is a post here not too old about polishing the Gold off the emblems back to Silver. Most emblems start chrome and then are gold electroplated after. Worst case scenario, take the emblems off, get them re-chromed at a local shop.
Congrat on the purchase. Most people suggest checking your power steering pump, changing the front control arm bushings, and cleaning your headlights.

Thanks!
I did do a search but didn't find much...
I might just get them re-chromed like you suggest.
My headlights do need some cleaning... just like my Supra's did too!
Thanks for the welcome... I'll try to keep my dumb questions to a minimum!

Wow, this is like a reunion. Where is Al when you need him?
Jim: I think I know you from old times at supraforums.com. I've been a member there from the begining, but switched here when I got the SC300.

Jim,
I wasn't sure if you were talking to the other Chris or not. Either way, I've been a member (same screen name) at supraforums for a few years.
Here is a pic of my old baby Jim You may remember seeing it.
Again, good to have you as a part of the board.
