You have to take off the trim. Make sure you also get the metal trim that attaches to the bottom of the door. This will minimize the gap between the door and the skirts.

All you need is plastic clips and screws. Which the body shop should have.

Aliga, hey is the metal trim from the 97 differnt from the 95? the one you are talkin about that attaches to the bottem of the door. I am about to put my 97+ skirts on and seems like it will fit ok.

I have a 92 and the trim on the bottom of the door is kind of pushed out once I close my door. I am pretty sure you have to replace the bottom door trim for a perfect fit.

Din,

The 95 piece will fit, but the 97+ trim is a bit wider, and will fill in the gap between the door and the side skirt better.

I did the 97 conversion also. You do not need the trim but you will need to slam the door to shut it since the trim is of different dimensions on previous models. I got tired of slamming the door shut on such a sweet ride. Wen't and got the 97 trim molding which made the bottom of door flush with side moldings .

Ok i jsut did the full conversion, I got the clips from the dealer for the side skirts but they didnt fit to well the the holes that already in the car. What I did was added tape to the clips i got the the dealer and used double sided tape to get the skirt to stay in place.

I think that is from the "CHAIR" telephoto zoom out lens he is utilizing. I hear that the "CHAIR" option is more modest than the "LADDER" wide-angle option.

They are like $128 for each door...they come pre-painted if I remember correctly...

Here's a questions for those of you who have coverted an pre-97 with the side skirts...

Did the side skirts go OVER the black fender trim (inside the fender well...)
