Default Critical Headlight lens questions

Hey guys, I know everyone always talks about using plastx and sanding your headlight lenses in order to make them clear again. Well I am coming from an IS300, and I blacked my headlight housings a couple years ago, which is what I plan on doing later today to my sc300's heads. Anyways, my main question, is am I able to use plastx on the INSIDE of the lens, the side, closest to the projector and NOT the one that is exposed normally.

The reason why I ask this is because with the sc300 you literally could not even touch with your pinky, the inside of the lens becuase it would make thousands of mini scratches anywhere you touch even with a microfiber, literally a piece of hair will make scratches, thats how sensitive the inside of the is300 lens is, so in other words, I am wondering if this is the same deal with the inside of these lenses because I would like to use plastx on the inside as well if possible!

Also , I am mainly going off of O.L.T.'s thread of polishing the projector/lens, but he never specifically states if he polishes both sides of the lens. Also, does anyone know if it is fine to use plastx on the projector glass?

Thanks!

I did the inside of my lenses with good results. I had them apart because of the glass dust from the projector that builds up over the years.

Plast-x cannot polish glass so doing the projector is a waste of time.

Yeah I used plastx on both sides, just dont sand the inner side of the lens. Well, if you plan on sanding.
Wax both sides too.

Well what do I use to polish the projector? O.L.T. uses meguires tech wax for both the lenses and projector, this is paint wax I thought, why does this work for both the glass and the plastic?

The wax will provide some protection for the plastic and will clean the glass very well but it can't actually polish glass.

BTW, Tech Wax is fully synthetic so it isn't real "wax"; there's no buildup.

so just the normal tech wax 2.0, the one that is totally waxxy and a solid ,not the liquid one, will work on headlights and the glass?

I know most use the liquid, but I assume the solid tech wax should work too right? It's literally called the same thing... tech wax 2.0... I'm just going to use the plastx on the lenses but i would like something better than wax to polish the projector glass lens correctly... or at least to clean it better than just paint wax... doesn't really make sense to me

How "clean" are you hoping to get the glass projector? Using the wax makes sure there is no residue and no fingerprints. The only true glass polish that I know of is sold by the Eastwood Company and is used for getting light streaks & haze out of windshields. I can't imagine any improvement it could make to your projector.
