Need help identifying a part...
I have a 1993 SC 400. I'm 99.9% sure this is an oil pressure sensor, but I can't seem to find a replacement part at Autozone which is why I need help identifying it on Autozones website. It is the grey object dangling by my oil filter.
Here's a few pics, horrible quality, but it was getting dark, and I don't have a jack on hand.
This is what it connects to.
Please someone link me to a replacement part on Autozones website so I can fix this asap. Not sure why I can't seem to find it.

Still cant figure out the replacement part for this thing......
It's not just plug in/out like the one shown on autozone, the wire doesn't just pull out. So I need some new wiring too? Any help appreciated.

Looks like the oil pressure switch. For the 93 SC400 it looks like OEM part #83530AA011. I included a link below for comparison and you can get it from these guys if you want to make sure you are getting the right part. With the Club Lexus discount it's just $20 OEM.

Also in the last picture you show where it screws in..the part that is broken off is still secured and has a little nipple that that screws into the oil filter assembly. Get a wrench and remove this part and the new one will screw the little treaded nipple into this little hole. Looks like a standard connector release in your third picture that little tab towards the front of the picture.

I've had a CEL on since I've gotten the car, the guy told me originally it was the EGR Sensor...I wonder if it's just this.

The wiring should be attached to the old oil pressure switch by a connector. You just depress the tab and the connector comes off of the old switch and attaches to the new switch. Unless I'm missing some other problem you have there. The picture you showed of the one from autozone looks like it should work.

That's the story of my life. After sitting there for 20+ years in the weather sometimes nuts bolts and connectors don't come off so easy. Sub-oxygen sensor is code 27. These are the oxygen sensors after the catalytic converters. 2 of them. Leave it alone it won't make any difference on the engine management settings but if the converter itself is blocked or previously hollowed you might want to investigate further.

No problem. I'll make your job a little easier. 27 is sub oxygen sensor left bank according to my repair manual. That is the drivers side very easy to get to but I would hit it with PB blaster for about a week before you try to take it out. Keep in mind that this does not change the way the engine meters fuel or oxygen like the front sensors so if you are low on cash or have other priorities on the car this one can wait. It just throws a light when it is working properly to let you know their is a problem with the catalytic converter. When you get it started out if you get further resistance hit it again with PB blaster or equivalent. They tend to screw up the threads often when you remove them too. A whole nother problem. Good luck with everything. I'm in Florida and the preferred time to work on the car is winter....
