Default Speciality Tool

Guys, I have tried every way I can think of to remove the nut that holds the power antenna in place. There must be a special tool I can buy that will remove the nut. I'm talking about the nut that has 4 slots one at each axis. If I could find a tools that would fit into at least two of the slots I think that would give me the leverage necessary to break it free.

If anyone knows of such a tool and it's name I would appreciate the info.

TIA

read here: http://www.lextreme.com/antenna.html
it can also be done with a screw driver but if you don't know how to do it you can easily scratch the car.

OK I see what's going on now but my antenna is stuck in the up position so I can't get at the washer.

I also can't force the antenna down no matter how hard I try.

the antenna is in the middle if you are using pliers around it it shouldn't be in the way. try not to scratch up the washer too bad maybe use a cloth. I can't remember 100% but I think I used a flat screwdriver in one of the slots at a slight angle and tapped it just to break it free and then the rest you can do by hand. the downside is you scratch the car if it slips, but if you put your hand around the ring to catch it or put a few soft cloths all around it and tap it lightly you should be able to get it done without any scratching. If you hercules it and it gouges your paint that would be an example of what not to do, so yeah do that at your own risk.

an SST would be nice but I have never seen one, and almost every toyota in the 90's has that on the antenna.
