My 93 has the Auto mode for the steering wheel position. This is a cool feature but my concern is that it could be just one more thing to break down with time. My LS also has the same feature but there is no button to turn it off. I've turned it off on my SC since it's convenient but not a neccessity. Have any of you with the older SC's had any problem with this feature? Is this a reliable feature that I can leave on?
BTW - Happy holidays and may your Lexus' age gracefully.

I've got a '94. My power telescoping steering wheel still works, but it sticks and you have to release the button again and again to get it to move all the way to your desired setting. It doesn't seem to move fully out of the way or back either when on auto. Nobody on here seems to know of a fix for it. Replacing the whole steering column assembly isn't really worth it if you ask me.

It is a cool feature but I decided to leave mine off because of the same concern. I think on most of these lexus, the telescoping wheel still works fine even from the early 90's.
