I have looked in the DIY, the classifieds, and of course, the inter-webs....
I need an instrument cluster, mine's done.
There are tons online on various sites, but does anyone have a recommendation?
Has anyone replaced theirs and where did you get it from?
I hope this is the right place for this thread....
Thanks

Well, if you mean that all of your bulbs burnt out and the needles aren't lighting up, why don't you try lextech.org. (L.L.C) I've been lurking around here for a while and that seems to be the go to place. Heck of a better price than $8xx.xx for a cluster. At least a good starting point for your search. Hope this helped.

everything lights up, needles just don't move
I've been hitting up junk yards, no luck so far. Gonna have to try a little farther away
I haven't looked at the connections, yet. Didnt take it apart. I'll take a look
Thanks everyone, keep on keeping on

Thanks SpeedKar for this.
I swapped my MPH cluster to a KPH one.
The last ODO I took pre-pulling was 98,004 (miles)
Hex dump shows: 7F FF FF F6 which if I'm following correctly is 99,000. Slight difference is "normal?"
Also I guess the value is not miles or kms then it's just a number so on the replacement KPH ODO I use the same value?
One other question. I am using one of those EZP USB programmers. Should I be able to do this chip in place? I tried wiring in place and could not get a read. I'd prefer not to desolder the "new" unit and thought this was supposed to work. Very good chance of just a bad connection but if this actually can't be done this way would be great to know!
Thx!

^^ lexisaurus, are you referring to having swapped a Canadian SC300/400 instrument cluster into your U.S. market SC300/400? I haven't been aware of pulling hex values from the SC instrument clusters to have the odometer readout professionally reprogrammed.
Aside, usually a job like that requires you to send in the instrument cluster to a DOT approved repair shop... in the U.S. at least. Not sure what the requirements are in Canada.
