Thanks BIGEZ. Im probably going to take your suggestion and as soon as it gets back from the mechanics im going to get a buddy of mine that works in a body shop to help me remove one from a donor car. Either the one you suggested or their is a guy parting one out that will let me have his for $20. Pay my buddy a 100 to do it for me and I still come out WAAAAY cheaper that safelite. The lady I talked to at safelite actually called me back to see if I wanted to proceed that they would need time to order it from the dealer which explains the crazy price. Anytime you involve the Lexus "stealer" you know the price is going to be 5 times what it should be. Its a shame there isnt a toyota car with the same rear windshield.

I'm not sure if your talking about the rear winshield or the rear side window.
But i got my rear side window for $50-75 i dont really remember though he had to to cut it out with the metal and I got it installed for $40.
You could get it at any junkyard that has an sc300 im sure they'll do it within that price range.
Isde window or rear winshield that price is rediculous.

That's an insane price. I would ask them which dealer they were using and simply instruct them to check with Sewell Lexus in Dallas for a better price than the local Lexus dealer.
For what it's worth, I used a place in Cali to replace my front windshield and got the entire thing installed for either $250 or $300 out the door-- can't remember which. They had PGW glass available for the front. I can't imagine why the rear wouldn't be available through PGW unless it has to do with the heating element embedded in the glass. Even then, that's not an uncommon feature today...

i got my brand new sc400 windshield for $200.00 installed.
and yes it's cheaper pulling an old one from the junkyard. but think about it, it's prob pitted and not in the best shape..
shop around first before you absoloutely have to pull one off another car.

Found a rear glass at the local junk yard of all places. Cost me $200 to have it professionally removed and installed on mine. Now on to the next project to fix.
If anyone needs body parts off a 94 they have a red one that looked to be in really good shape. PM me for the number.
