So after two days of on and off raining, I went to remove my tool bag and I found the bottom of my trunk moist. >![Frown](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
I have taken a look before for a leak but found nothing, emptied the trunk and found a small amount of water in the spare wheel well.
The trunk rubber gasket looks fine, everything along the side seems to be dry and no sign of water corrosion/ residue.
Anyone that had trunk leaks, what were your causes?

The drain from the gas cap can come loose or get clogged. It then runs down into the trunk and fills up. Pull your right hand side trunk panels out and look down behind the amp. Pull the end of the hose out and let it drain. I believe there is another drain hose on the left side by the antenna too. Make sure these are not clogged or loose. Then make sure they're clamped well and you'll be good to go.

Ok, so I think I found my trunk leak to update you guys. So nothing in my trunk gets wet. But the flooring does and there would be a small, small pool of water only in the spare wheel well.
When I washed my car before the MD mega meet, I opened my trunk to get the water from around the trunk gasket. Where the trunk latch locks, I noticed a wet stream going down to the center. So I looked around. It is likely from my LEXUS badge. I removed the Soarer badge to find out the trunk had holes. I did this months ago but it hardly rained, if anything my Lexi has seen rain only a couple times. I got a LEXUS badge off an ES but the pins didn't line up nor does it contours the trunk. So I snipped the pins off and used double side tape. With the badge not contouring, it is up on the ends making the hole expose. Water gets in travels in the trunk lid, down the trunk latch, down down down. And it seeps out the trunk lid before the rubber gasket so it can only travel further into the trunk.
