I know that my SC400 has 78 Liter tank... so that would make it about 17.3 Gallons? (Dividing by 4.5L/Gallon) I know that my light comes on at exactly 68 liters, which would be about 15.11... of course these are not exact conversions, and I don't know which conversion to use... since there are two different types of gallons.

I once filled my tank to 17.2 gallons---and that's with the empty light fading on and off so there was some juice left. I have the receipt to prove it too!! Sadly it's a Shell receipt, because I was too low on gas to hunt down a Chevron

I have data saved on my PDA that says we have a 20.6 gallon gas tank, but I forget where I downloaded that info from so I don't know if it's accurate. Seems about right though, because I know our fuel reserve is about 3 gallons once the fuel indicator lights up.
Chevron gas is best for you car in the long run because Techron cleans your motor as it burns, which is good for many reasons.

my SC300/SC400 manual says there are 17.2 imperial gallons, 20.6 gallon capacity.
Lex400sc, you weree cutting it close buddy![Wink](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
funny, it also says 96 octane is recommended, but you can only go as low as 91.
Well, I ONLY use 93..that's all we have here ...and only Chevron or Amoco for me. Texaco if there's nothing else [road trips]

Ryan,
I run my tank down all the time. Long trips to LA and such. I have filled the tank with over 17 gallons before so I think the 20 number is correct. Not to mention. When the light comes on, I can back up and slam on the brake to hear a sizeable amount of gas still in the tank. (stock sub is gone)

Hmm,
On the gasoline subject. The additive being the really only difference in gas here in norcal. I do not really think it makes a big difference. I would say that Chevron has a good record but nothing proven. My father is a biochemist who setup labs throughout the US to test fuels and oils from rockets at NASA to your local station. While going to school he was a shop mechanic. He uses Arco in all of his cars. Not saying he is THEE expert but those companies bought liquid and gas chromotography instruments from him for well over a million dollars to get the results they wanted. I was really shocked to hear that most gas station companies do not even have a refinery in California. Most just buy the gas from Arco in the Bay Area and add their additive.
