Hey everyone, new guy here. How many of you guys on here have more than 200k miles? I'm looking into getting an SC300 and found a nice one, it just has 207k on i. If its been properly maintained its whole life how many more miles can I expect to get out of it? What should I look for when I'm going to check it out?
Has plenty of live left. Im on 220k on my SC400 and it runs amazingly. Im still on my stock alternator, starter, coils, and other parts. They really just require tune ups and small stuff here and there.
Had just over 200k before 1JZ swap. Just passed 220k. Only major failure was a rusted out drivers side rear brake hardline that burst during a panic stop.
No worry brother, I've got 275k with everything working on my original motor! These motors are pretty stout! I also know a few with a lot more...there's one guy that I know sold his SC and at the time he had something like 430k ish? I'm not bs ing you bro.
I have 160k and I've changed everything. And I mean everything. It's just a matter of time when everything dies, AC Compressor, alternator, waterpump, radiator, rack and pinion, ball joints, every sensor, and window regulators. Some people are lucky, my car is cursed.
I have seen SC300's surpass 200k all of the time. I almost bought an SC3 with 240k or so...that one you are thinking of buying should last a long time.
I'm at 216k miles on my factory engine. They last well into 400k+ at least as long as they have been maintained well and see regular oil changes. Things like control arms can be worn out at that mileage though. The cars themselves are fairly bulletproof like the engines.
