Plenty of people port heads by hand... but it takes some skill.

Head work definitely can screw your engine up if done by the wrong person. Don't forget to improve the flow in the intake manifold and match it to the ports on the head too.

So what you are saying is that freehand port and polishing would is pretty shady and is not a good idea if you do it free hand So what should i do port and polishing for 150 is one hell of a steal What would you do in this in this situation! Hermosa you always seem to have good advice

Freehand is not necessarily shady. There are plenty of people doing it with fine results. Just like there are plenty of people doing 3 axis CNC jobs that don't know what they are doing.

Find out what the guy has done in the past, and see if he has done something similar to this vehicle, and what the results were. If they were good, and you can get replacement heads cheap in case he busts into the water jacket or something, then I would go for it. But I like risks
