I hadn't driven my SC in about 4 months and needed a lot of work. I've definitely come to the point in my life where I don't want to work on cars anymore. I'll be completely honest, I almost cried when I saw the new owner drive away with her. I literally put blood, sweat and tears into that car.
But... Im already on the lookout for another one. A 98-00 SC400 to be exact. When I find one the only thing I plan to do to it is put a magnaflow exhaust on it and possibly headers.
Matt, sorry to hear you sold your baby...you'll be back in another one in no time! Did you sell it to another member on CL?
steve
No, and I'm not too happy about who I sold it to, but I won't get into that. But the guy was the first caller, first too see the car and showed up with full asking price, cash in hand.
At least your looking into getting another
Why sell and how much did it go for?

I sold it for $2000. It needed a lot of work that I wasn't willing to put into it. The rear main seal was leaking, I never finished the interior or exterior, the transmission started acting up and I wasnt going to pull the tranny unless it was to swap it for a 5 speed manual. To put it simply, it was a project car that I just gave up on and I wasn't really enjoyable to drive anymore.

Ya, I just want the extra power, 5 speed auto, something fun and enjoyable to drive and something I don't have to work on aside from routine maintenance. I am however gonna put some aftermarket wheels and exhaust system on it.
matt your sc looked pretty clean man , I think you sold it for too cheap
on a side note I bet that truck is a blast to drive
Nah, that SC was in rough shape. I also needed to sell it quickly. My fiancé and I are moving into a new town house at the end of this month and we really needed the money for the down deposit. But I did buy myself a new Springfield Range Officer 1911
My truck is a blast to go wheelin with but its not so great on the road. The 6" lift makes it very top heavy and even though its a V6 with a 5spd manual, its extremely slow and gutless. I am searching for a TRD supercharger for it though.
