This thread is fun but a bit ridiculous, the title says Trade your SC, so it needs to be equivalent value..
Also when someone say I want a FD RX7 (or whatever) has the maintenance and potential work needed on such cars been considered carefully as well?

Realisticly if you sell your SC on Craigslist what could you have gotten, yes a 1999 Civic EX

hands down the RX7! I had mine for two years, she only was drivable for 5 months (3 pre-swap and 2 after LS1 swap) before some azzhat pushed me into a guard rail then fled the scene (the reason I got the SC). I simply spent two years building my dream car only to have it taken from me 57 days after passing inspection. It was a full chassis lift customization dealio that I did myself. I never even got to "play" in her, I just daily drove it to and from work while dialing in the details. I just wish I coulda raced it once or taken a turn a little too fast just once, but alas, I got one good burnout and that was after the accident and I went to jail for it

Adding RX7 FC Turbo and AE86 Hatch for the heck of it to my list as well and maybe a MK3 Supra with a GTE swap.
If I need 4 doors GS400 would be on the list

Come on guys lets hear some more, doesnt have to be stock for stock it can be modified or even for shells or trade plus cash

The easiest thing is to look for a 1986 or, certainly, 1987 GN/T-Type since '87 had the best engine tuning from the factory.

Grand Nationals weren't standard turbocharged at all until 1985. Before that the same (non-intercooled and even lower rated) engine was an option.

The carbureted 3.8L turbo versions (again, same basic 3.8L engine block design) dated from 1978-1981 as an optional engine in the Regal series.
AAAAAND I have to correct you. The 1984 Grand National was the first year they were turbo'd. I had an '84 and was in the GN game for a while. You are correct that they were SFI though. The turbo'd GNs never came carb'd. There were Grand Nationals before 1984 but they were carb'd and non-turbo.

My trades-

1986-87 Grand National or T-type
GMC syclone or Typhoon
1998+ Trans am Ws6 (LS1)
1996 or 97 Ws6 (LT1) modded
3000gt vr4 or Stealth turbo
Modded Notchback mustang
944 turbo porsche
STI
C4 corvette with the LT4

Well sorry about that. Indeed they did have a turbo in '84. I believe '85 non-intercooled models were up to 200hp factory. I was going to go into the 1978-81(?) Regal 3.8L carbureted turbo non-intercooled cars but they aren't much more than a minor footnote. I've seen two in my life-- far less than any iteration of the GN and very different animals than the later turbo 3.8's.

Nice list and kudos for having owned that 1984 model-- awesome car regardless of the year.

What are your thoughts on the Subaru SVX? I think its under rated and you rarely see these.

Joey, I've always loved the SVX but like the SC400 they never came with a manual transmission. I've heard of people swapping them to 5-speed and turbocharging (or swapping in an EJ20/25) but stock they're nice cruisers too. Built at the same time as the '91 Soarer, Mazda Cosmo 20B, R32 Skyline GT-S (T) and other luxury coupes of that era. And they look great IMO.

czar07, I like your list. I'd add the 288 GTO and Lancia Delta HF Integrale.

Yeah! I think its really unique and 230hp and AWD isnt bad! I read on manual swaps which is rare like the SC4, and like the SC its pretty heavy.

I think its just a cool 90s car that gets overlooked
