So i just bought a set of esx 18x8.5 rims yesterday and i went to put them on and they did not fit. The bolt pattern on the rims is 5x114.3. I looked closer and it seems to be the hub size is different. Is there any solutions for this???

You may have to open the center bore / does it say the center bore size on the box? Your center bore is 60.1.

I just looked and the rims are 57.1

57.1 is a vw hub bore, you'll need to either exchange them to 60.1 or larger and use hub rings or get tem bored out at a machine shop to fit your car

I just realized the bore on my wheels is too big, need hub rings as well but im unsure of the bore on my aftermarket wheels.

wheel/Tire shops wont even touch them, I tried two of them today.

not that much at a professional shop that can open up the bore, but in my experience the pro shops that do these things don't do general wheel stuff like dismounting, typically you would have to dismount the tire and just take them the rims. not a bad option that is also handy if your wheels poke out too far some places can take off material to bring the wheels in more (lets say you want to fit aggressive 350z wheels on a SC you may need to remove material unless you go widebody or hella tire strecth cut grind etc.. you guys know the drill).

you could try an adapter inbetween that doesn't have the center bore on the outside, alot of spacer adapters have this, but you have to consider that you are much more likely to have shimmys and vibrations and possibly stud breakage when using a hubcentric wheel in a bolt centric setup and is generally not recommended and can be dangerous if you drive fast alot, which is why you always want to stay hubcentric, and its better to get those wheels modified or sell them and buy ones that are 60.1. I only mentioned it cause its not a good idea if you were thinking about using a spacer to get around the problem. again, not a good idea.

i actually have custom adaptors from my previous car, i got custom 60.1 to 57.1 5x114.3 to 5x112 adaptors made. I could have gotten the center bore the size i needed but then it would only work for wheels 66.6 and bigger so i ordered 57.1 so i can run almost any VW or audi wheel of my liking. Hub rings are your friends. but your best bet would be getting your hub bored out to a 60.1
