Damn, I can't believe it's only two-three months left! I need to start going north! My board is all prepped and just sitting here

Too bad it only snows up in the mountains in Southern California.. Would you guys consider snow a good thing or a bad thing? I never had the chance to be in it for more than two days.

I consider living in snow bad, playing in it good. I once stayed in a cabin by Tahoe for a week and it got pretty miserable after the third day. We lost power a few times and our plumbing froze. Luckily the fridge food didn't spoil, we just put everything in the snow
. Living in the coldness gets very annoying too, and that's just the half of it. Everything gets wet including your socks and all the melted snow you tracked into the house/car. Getting your car stuck in snow sucks also, as does losing traction on the freeway because you drove over an iced up bridge .

ouch.. ok.. I stayed at a cabin in Big Bear for 3 days.. It wasn't as bad. It was pretty cozy.. But from the sounds of it, I don't think staying any longer would be a good idea esp. if you are use to sunshine.

For the record, i went to stratton VT on saturday, 4 deg... my g/f got frost bite after only four runs... i'm moving to key west!! LOL No snow tires, they don't do much, if i got narrower tires i would help but I just take it easy and try to avoid the snow. Trac control def helps, it's on I'd say 70% of the time the one snow storm I drove in. However, the car doesn't slip at all which is good, well not till I hit the brakes, but I usually turn OD off, and that slows me down first through the engine. Anyway, can't wait till summer, hope that ground hog doesn't see his shadow!!

Yeah the first gen sc400's have traction control.
However, in the snow, i can't stress winter tires enough. I just put a set on this year and the difference is amazing!
