Rolex, I hear you on the jackazz kids on the road. I'm in NYC also and have to deal with little tuff guy guidos trying to prove their peniz size by putting other drivers in danger.

But the solution is simple, let them go. Steer clear and let them kill themselves. Don't get involved with their nonsense.

Don't buy an SC with the thought of outrunning these kids. Fugget them. Enjoy the SC and let those kids kill themselves. Don't give in to road rage, it's not worth it. It's not worth chasing these kids. Let them go.

you guys are right. Every now and then I just get the urge to beat 'em at their own game. I'm still interested in the SC regardless, not just for the power. I was so impressed with the seamless acceleration of the LS400's I drove. I've driven benzes before like 500SEL's, clk430....their acceleration seemed a little harsh to me, not to mention the 500 needed to be floored before it got interesting. But, like I said...I usually don't drive fast...mostly city driving unless I take a relaxing drive to atlantic city in which I love effortless cruising (the LS400 was a dream for that). I owned 2 Cadillacs but always had it in the back of my mind that they might break down, although they never did . Never liked BMWs. I love toyota products but I've never driven an SC....i'm looking to do so as soon as I can locate one available for a test drive. If the 300 will provide adequate performance and be a little more thrifty to run and maintain, I would be most interested in purchasing one as my next vehicle.

Hello Fellow SC members.

I rarely respond or post a message, but this topic made me itch.

another one of my pet peeve is that people in HOUSTON dont use there turn signal, I have no idea when or where they will turn, many many times I almost run into idiots that goes for all ages male and females.

Anyways ROL my wife was driving a 95 Camry with 4cyl well since she started driving my SC4 she hasnt giving it back to me.

Get the SC4 no doubt.

Hey again SC members

I kinda like this board. I can vent alittle LOL

Buy the SC for styling, class, and luxury. Dont buy it to run people over, but it's nice to have power on reserve for them days with punkasskids.

I do have a Honda Del Sol that is built and runs like a beast for them days at the track, yet I dont drive like them punks.

Later Friends

Ah, the fun & games of agressive freeway driving -

I call it "traffic polo"

Being aggressively offensive (turd-like) or aggressively defensive (teach that turd a thing or 2) is just too stressful, I have given up on it.

But while I try to just let the fools be fools on the freeway, I agree with lex400sc - the V8 has GRUNT - it is just as strong as I ever need, whenever I need it - and I bet it is even better with a tighter tc -

OK, I'm 16, and I got my car, and treat with as much respect as I can. I kow that I have something all those "punks" don't. I have luxury, and simply knowing I can dust off most of those people with the civics and maximas makes me feel good enough that I just let em go with a laugh. Shoot, let them get a ticket. I have a pefect record, and I haven't raced my car yet, and plan to keep it in good condition.

Ok, not for nuthin', but how does a 16 year old afford an SC??? I don't know how it is in WA, but in NY, 16 is too young to even start learning to drive.

In any case, enjoy the wheels and be mature about it. Have lots of sex in the backseat, but always use a condom.

SC4 is better than SC3 and a better deal for you because the MSRP was higher when they were new, but now both are about the same price used. Provided that no mod are going to be made, then SC4 is quicker and 20mpg is not that bad either. Always drive safely!

Damn! 20mpg on an 8 banger. I'm running 16mpg on a SC3 - MT. I'm pissed. I don't know what it can be ... plugs, wires, air filter, cap, and rotor have all been changed. I'm still getting crappy mileage. Is it the cold weather? This is my first winter with this car.

Then again, I also have a Miata which usually gets 30mpg, and has been getting around 26mpg lately. I'm thinking it's the cold.

But 16mpg on an MT is pizz poor.
