They won't fit behind Stock GS rims. In fact, most wheels will not work, you need specially made rims for a Supra offset and disc clearance.

you guys may know my SC4 had a broken caliper and i looked into getting an upgrade. in any event. here is how I got my car a supra twin turbo big brake upgrade for $446.93

LHS Caliper $110.00
RHS Caliper $89.00
LHS Rotor $60.00
RHS Rotor $60.00
Front Cylinder Kit $16.97
Front Shim Kit $13.84
Front Fitting Fit Kit $10.28
LHS Brake Dust Cover $21.86
RHS Brake Dust Cover $21.86
Sumitomo Brake Pads $32.00
shipping $7.00
Caliper Pins x 4 $4.12

total $446.93

for those who live in NY area I can get you hooked up to this guy who would do the install for like 150 bucks. Its winter its cold so I'm having this guy do it. I have been very happy with his services so far(I had alot of stuff done by him in both my cars).

you don't need to buy caliper pins. I bought them just in case.. but they are supposed to be indestructable.

I got the rotors, calipers, and brake pads from http://www.toyotadiscountparts.com

and the rest of the stuff from http://www.bmaautoparts.com/.

at BMA if you order more than 100 bucks shipping is free.. I paid 7 bucks because my total was like 88 bucks.

of couse the calipers are re-man but better than paying more than that for used and comes with warranty.

they are in extremely limited quantity.

The reason why the LHS caliper was more expensive because it comes "loaded" with stock brake pads. so I will be throwing them out.

this is the cheapest way I found to upgrade the brakes.

I was quoted 400 bucks just to replace my OEM lexus SC400 caliper on ONE SIDE ONLY!

remember this is only OEM. Not TRD or EBC or anything like that. Those are alot alot alot more money. but I think I will be fine with these.

good luck for those who want to go this route.

One more thing. If you want to buy new calipers (don't know who makes them but supposed to be OEM. they are 251.81 @ BMA auto.

Dennis.
It doesn't sound like a good deal to me. These calipers look used. I got everything for about 450 bucks brand new.

the calipers are re-man but everything else is new.

DirecEQL: how did you get everything new for $450? or rather where did you get it?

ACleanSC: besides the black paint and the Supra logo it is the same caliper. It was sandblasted in the re-man process.

Chris:
You may have been able to get them for $450 but its not a price that the general public can get. So how useful is your information?

I posted this thread to help people with no-hookups to obtain best prices for a product. SO DON'T SAY THAT ITS NOT A GOOD DEAL! I've noticed the average price for this setup is around $1000.

I could have gotten calipers with black paint and Supra logo but it would have been 150-180 more per caliper. so why pay more?

I'm sorry if you guys think i have terrible information. If you think the info is bad then ask the mod to close the thread.

We do appreciate your sharing information with us. And I think this is an excellent source for those looking for supra brakes, as I was foolish enough to spend just as much getting stock sc calipers.
Keep it coming VSsc400

General public doesn't go around shopping much. If you go to Carson's Toyota you may get them for 750 bucks I think. I forgot all that stuff. The reason why I am saying it's not that good of a deal is because you could have gotten them cheaper from a Supra guy. They usually don't know how to price such things.

Anyways, time for me to get the rear ones too. While the front brakes work nicely I noticed the rear brakes don't. Since I have wider rear tires I think it's a good idea to use upgrade rear brakes too.

I think awj bought his setup from carson toyota and it was $1000.

tried to look for the @ supgraforums and they were selling them for $750 used.

As for the rears, can you just do the calipers, pads, rotors? or do you have to do the parking brakes also?

Really? I while back I checked with Carson's Toyota and they quoted me 1300 bucks for front and rear. Some Supra people offered their brakes at 300 bucks. Ohh well! I don't know if they will fit, I assume so. I guess I will find out.
