How I got my Supra TT Big Brake setup for $446.93
you guys may know my SC4 had a broken caliper and i looked into getting an upgrade. in any event. here is how I got my car a supra twin turbo big brake upgrade for $446.93
LHS Caliper $110.00
RHS Caliper $89.00
LHS Rotor $60.00
RHS Rotor $60.00
Front Cylinder Kit $16.97
Front Shim Kit $13.84
Front Fitting Fit Kit $10.28
LHS Brake Dust Cover $21.86
RHS Brake Dust Cover $21.86
Sumitomo Brake Pads $32.00
shipping $7.00
Caliper Pins x 4 $4.12
total $446.93
for those who live in NY area I can get you hooked up to this guy who would do the install for like 150 bucks. Its winter its cold so I'm having this guy do it. I have been very happy with his services so far(I had alot of stuff done by him in both my cars).
you don't need to buy caliper pins. I bought them just in case.. but they are supposed to be indestructable.
I got the rotors, calipers, and brake pads from http://www.toyotadiscountparts.com
and the rest of the stuff from http://www.bmaautoparts.com/.
at BMA if you order more than 100 bucks shipping is free.. I paid 7 bucks because my total was like 88 bucks.
of couse the calipers are re-man but better than paying more than that for used and comes with warranty.
they are in extremely limited quantity.
The reason why the LHS caliper was more expensive because it comes "loaded" with stock brake pads. so I will be throwing them out.
this is the cheapest way I found to upgrade the brakes.
I was quoted 400 bucks just to replace my OEM lexus SC400 caliper on ONE SIDE ONLY!
remember this is only OEM. Not TRD or EBC or anything like that. Those are alot alot alot more money. but I think I will be fine with these.
good luck for those who want to go this route.
One more thing. If you want to buy new calipers (don't know who makes them but supposed to be OEM. they are 251.81 @ BMA auto.

That's a real good deal. I got lucky because I had a set of supra tt calipers laying around, 150 to rebuild, 35 for pads and then I went with cross drilled rotors so it ended up about the same price. Great deal, you'll love the results.

why is there a price difference between the left and right calipers?
LHS Caliper $110.00
RHS Caliper $89.00
your math seems to be off to but just a few bucks

the left hand caliper only came loaded which means it comes with brake pads. the right side doesn't. thats why there is a price difference. I couldn't get it unloaded because thats how the rebuilder wants to sell it. got it? stop to read the whole thing before you judge. Now how about an appology?

i will take photos of the whole kit when they all arrive.
I will also take photos of install including the broken caliper as they come off and go on the car.
I will also log the part numbers as they appear on the label.
I managed to get 8mm aluminum spacers from local autoshop for 25 bucks for all 4 but on the SC4 the studs were too short (only would have accomodated 3mm'ish spacer. I bought wheel studs(15mm longer) from optauto.com The wheel studs were made by H&R and the guy only charged me 60 bucks for all 20 studs.
FYE: I was just told that i have the wrong price on the caliper pin but in fact the price is correct. the price is $4.12 for 4 pins not each.
