I have the same sound and though the same thing. The only problem is it doesn't come from the front speakers at all (Haven't checked to see if it comes from back speakers or just the back area). Therefore, I would have to guess that this isn't the problem.

I have that same sound too on AM. I am going to Radio Shack today.

Can anyone tell me where the Nak amp is located in an SC4? I assume that is where this Ground Loop piece will connect.

If I'm not mistaken, the amp should be under the CD changer.

I have that same sound too on AM. I am going to Radio Shack today
Radio Shack does not carry anything related to car audio anymore - So I went to the Good Guys and they told me if it's a factory rig that is making that noise, that a Ground Loop will do no good and that its a problem with the Amp.

Do you guys buy that?

that is definatly alternator whine, try searching for a DC filter that you can put between your amp and electrical system. search for noise filter on ebay. Your going to have to look up the schematics for the factory amp, and locate the 12V imput, and the ground, and that product should work like a champ. Something similar to this:
