Yup, since you can't see it I would assume it goes in towards the bottom of the firewall have no idea if on the intake side or exhaust side.
Very nicely done.
Thank you Ali !
I did try to examine the other pictures posted by Scott and indeed it is on the intake side as you suspected. I figure it is because there is less heat on that area.

Nice find, yeah less heat and the harness pops out there anyways might as well run it across the bay inside the car. would be easy to do with an aristo harness since you have to extend it anyways.

, hhhmmm......if the 2jzgte ecu has a place right there behind the center console / below the radio , then we don't even have to extend the Aristo Harness . That saves us all the trouble of extending it. . It's just the body plugs that just have to reach the right side panel on the passenger footwell.
Now I wonder what can we use on that firewall to be able to slide in the harness but at the same time prevent heat from going into the cabin ? I was thinking the original rubber accordion can't be used since it will melt because of the heat. On that area where they drilled the hole, looking at my empty engine bay , there is actually a 3" inch diameter mark there with a threaded hole at the center .
they sell all kinds and diameters of grommets online. I would just get one for the holesaw size you will use.
the harness should be able to survive the heat right there on the intake side, only thing I can think of that gets really hot is egr and egr cooler on the back of the block if you have those but on JDM motors its blocked off.
I have heard of people placing the ecu in different places and would totally be worth it if the body plugs would reach there but somehow I am thinking they won't go that far.
