Yeah I wouldn't hard launch as in redline it then pop the clutch. GUILTY. I just don't do it anymore. You are better off keeping it in first rolling to 20mph and then gunning it. It'll give that launch feeling without the stress by comparison.

I'm not sure why everyone thinks the sc is so fragile... I take my car to numerous events all year and haven't had a single transmission, rear end, or suspension problem yet.

Your best bet at launching the car is just to slip the clutch and try and avoid wheel hop. You wont break any of the stock parts unless you're doing something wrong. Wheel hop kills.
